Yinyoga fördjupning med Elizabeth Welsh på Atmajyoti Yoga i Stockholm
Most of us associate deepening and advancing our yoga practice with doing more poses and accomplishing more advanced postures. But the deepening we are speaking about within the yin practice, has more to do with letting go and releasing what no longer serves us. We deepen not by forcing or pushing, but through softening and allowing. Yin yoga is the practice of becoming still, quiet and receptive to what is. The slow pace and long held postures allows the ideal opportunity to practice the skills of mindfulness – moment to moment awaresness of breath, sensations, emotions and thoughts as they arise.
In this workshop we’ll deepen our understanding of the Taoist terms yin and yang, and how this relates to the tissues in our body, meridian theory and the emotional and psychological aspects of our organs. Ultimately, the goal of what we practice on the mat and in the yoga room is to help us become more loving and more compassionate to ourselves and to all beings.
Join us on the mat for this rejuvenating, calming and profoundly healing practice.
Elizabeth is teaching in English but you can talk Swedish with her. All levels are welcome.
