Silent meditation retreat with Christiane Wolf and Atmajyoti Yoga at Mallorca
Our lives are full and busy - often this feels good and productive until we notice that we have in a way forgotten how to rest and to take things easy. Just going on vacation might not do the trick as we are taking the busy mind with us. We might need to unplug for a few days and turn the attention lovingly onto our present moment experience.
We immerse ourselves for 6 days in the stillness that only the present moment can bring. By taking away our regular distractions of family, internet, news, TV, work and even books we allow a not only stillness but also contentment and joy arise that is independent of the constant stimulation from outside.
On this silent retreat, which meets the requirements for a silent teacher led meditation retreat for MBSR/MBCT/MSC teachers, we will alternate periods of sitting meditation with mindful walking. We will also practice daily movement/yoga and the body scan.
Please note that this is not a workshop, meaning we will practice loving awareness with experience from the moment we wake up until we go to bed at night. The first practice period starts at 6am, the last one ends at 21.30pm daily.
In a wonderful setting in the mountains of Mallorca overlooking the Mediterranean sea in a mild autumn climate and delicious vegetarian food. We bring our own chefs.
The retreat it taught in english. Accommodations are shared double rooms.
Course size is limited to 17 persons. Those with previous meditation experience and beginners can be supported in practice through this retreat. Beginners to yoga, as well as those with experience, are also most welcome.
Travel Guarantee has been issued to Kammarkollegiet in accordance with the Travel Guarantee Act. To travel to and from Mallorca is not included in the price. From Palma airport, you can go by train or bus to Soller or take a taxi all the way (approx 65 Euros)
You sign up by paying the registration fee. The entire fee must then be paid 30 days before the day of arrival.
Dr. Christiane Wolf is a physician turned Vipassana, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and teacher trainer.
It’s still at times surprises her that for more than a decade she has now been transforming people’s life with the Dharma instead of the scalpel.
She is a senior teacher at InsightLA in Los Angeles and on adjunct faculty at the Center For Mindfulness at University of Massachusetts Medical School, as well as on faculty for the Mindfulness and MBSR teacher training for Arbor Seminare in Germany. She has received teacher transmission from Trudy Goodman in 2011 and has completed the 4- year Dharma and retreat teacher training with Jack Kornfield and Joseph Goldstein. She teaches individuals, groups and retreats in the US and in Europe. Originally from Berlin, Germany she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their three kids.
