8-days Vipassana retreat at Samahita retreat center, Koh Samui Thailand, September 21-28
The Sure Heart’s Release – A weeklong silent Insight Meditation retreat
This retreat meets the requirements for MBSR, MSC, MMTCP teachers and teachers-in-training.
Join us for this in-person retreat in the beautiful setting of Samahita Retreat Center in Koh Samui.
Quiet your mind and open your heart in this silent meditation retreat with Christiane Wolf and Viveka Blom Nygren on the tropical Island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
In this very special retreat, we will nourish the body and mind and deepen our Insight practice together, exploring themes such as the balance of stillness and movement and activity and surrender, and how we might integrate this balance into daily life upon returning home.
Together we will explore some of the supports for “the sure heart’s release”: letting go of distraction, the deliberate cultivation of simplicity and contentment, and a renewed sense of connection with our own bodies, hearts, and minds in community. By bringing mindful attention to our moment to moment experience, we can learn to cultivate resilience amidst change and grow in awareness, love, and wisdom.
The structure of an Insight meditation retreat includes time for sitting meditation, walking meditation, rest, mindful eating, and Dharma talks along with some instruction and guidance, and small group meetings to support you within the container of a silent retreat. This helps us to deepen our practice discussion connection to our direct moment to moment experience, cultivate continuity of mindfulness, and awaken the heart and mind for greater ease, balance, and clarity in daily life.
In addition, Christiane and Viveka will be offering some gentle yoga and mindful movement practices accessible to all bodies and abilities.
All teachings will be in English by Christine Wolf and Viveka.
We stay at the Samahita Retreat, which is located in Koh Samui, Thailand. Samahita is a wonderful retreat center with room for 50 participants. Both beginners and people with previous meditation and yoga experience are welcome.
You book and pay for your flight to Koh Samui yourself. We will provide information about transfer to Samahita. The retreat starts with a dinner upon arrival. We have a chance to greet one and other before we enter the noble silence together.
Once you have booked your flight ticket, please let us know your flight times. Email us at retreat@atmajyoti.se
On the last day we finish the retreat and are ready around 11:00.
