Soft yoga, pranayama, meditation and mimmicking fasting
This retreat is for you who long to land, deepen your breath, and create more balance in body and mind. Over four days, we weave together soft yoga, pranayama, meditation, self-care, sauna, and natural pool bathing — all in the gentle, nature-close setting of Lindeborgs Eco Retreat.
Mimicking fasting — in a gentle, sustainable way
During the retreat, we follow Valter Longos mimicking fasting program, a scientifically developed method where you eat smaller portions of nutrient-rich, plant-based food.
Research shows that this method can produce similar effects to fasting, but in a gentler and more accessible way..
The food is prepared by Cecilia Olsson (Lila Lotus) - simple, beautiful, and incredibly delicious — with care for both the body and the overall experience.
The focus during the days is not on 'performing a fast,' but rather on supporting the body, reducing strain, and allowing the system to find a calmer rhythm. The fasting program becomes a gentle foundation that carries our practice in pranayama and meditation.
What we will explore together
We alternate between:
• gentle yoga & medical yoga
• pranayama (classical yogic breathing exercises)
• meditation & stillhet
• walking meditation
• lecture/reflection
• sauna & natural pool bathing
• nutrient-rich, fasting-mimicking diet in smaller portions
• time for rest and recovery
Everything unfolds at a calm pace, where both beginners and experienced practitioners are warmly welcome.
You will also receive a personalized breathing and meditation program att ta med dig hem.

In SVT's program *Vetenskapens värld*, the concept of "Longevity"—living a long and healthy life—was explored. A common theme that emerged among all the researchers featured in the program was the use of fasting as a method for improving health and well-being.
The program culminated in an interview with Valter Longo, the director of the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California and a leading researcher in the field. Longo is known for developing the fasting method that we will be practicing during our retreat.

I first came into contact with this fasting method through Food Pharmacy about five years ago. I now practice it regularly, and it makes me feel very well.

Each year we gather in places where the sky feels closer and the rhythm slower. Atmajyoti Yoga’s retreats are an invitation to step out of the pace of everyday life and into a deeper presence. Here, the breath leads, stillness speaks, and community supports. In the meeting of yoga, pranayama, and meditation, a space opens for clarity, softness, and inner strength. Join us to listen, to deepen, and to return to the natural rhythm of the heart.
